New custom dresses!

A very happy little girl testing out the spin factor of her new dress!

I’m making dresses for three sisters. All of them are going to be made with the Sense and Sensibility Girls’ Regency Dress pattern as a base, but I’m making them sleeveless and with a half-circle skirt instead of a gathered skirt.

The oldest got the first dress, since it was her birthday. We came up with the idea to make a matching doll dress as an extra surprise after picking out the fabric and decorative buttons. Both dresses close in the back with snaps.

Next came some “Tutti Fruiti” dresses for the youngest sister. After seeing her sister’s doll dress she wanted one too! This time, the girl’s dresses close with buttons and the doll dress with velcro.

Still to come… Dresses for the two younger sisters to match the oldest’s dress. This particular fabric comes with different colored backgrounds, so each dress will be slightly different.
