And I Quote

The song “Sunrise” by Nicole Nordeman is similar to the quote above. It’s been a real encouragement to me, and I hope it will be to you as well.

The Mountain we all climb

Who has the bigger honor,

~the one who climbs the mountain, or

~the one who is born there?

The former has a long hard road to get to the top, with many setbacks, scrapes, and breaks. The latter still has some hardships, like thin air and living away from civilization, but so does everyone who fights their way to the top!

Fort Lowell Historic day

Every year in January, the Fort Lowell Historic District opens up private property to show the public a bit of Tucson history. This year for the first time, we were able to see the Captain’s quarters up close. The museum at Fort Lowell park is an exact copy of the captain’s quarters, and is open year round. It has photographs and other belongings from the families who lived at the fort at the turn of the century.
