Tucson River of Words
My winning entry: “Encounter”
The Tucson River of Words is a contest where children grades K-12 can enter paintings, drawings, photographs and poems. This year I entered a drawing of a horned lizard and a snake. I won Grand prize! Moriah entered two photographs and one of them was a finalist.
Both sets of my grandparents were at the award ceremony to see us get our certificates. We also each got a book and I got tickets to the Desert Museum.
All of the winning art will be displayed at the Children’s museum through May. Then they will be at the Desert Museum. In July the art can be seen at the Tucson Botanical Gardens.
