Hairnet
I made this hairnet for Civil War reenacting
When I first got interested in Civil War reenactig, I thought that I didn’t have to worry much about my hair. I assumed I’d just put it up in a snood , like many reenactors that I had seen. I did some research and found that I should not where a snood for Civil War reenacting. I learned that snoods were really worn during the 1940s. In the 1860s, snoods were nonexistent. Hairnets, like the one I made were worn over already styled hair as an accessory.
