Tucson Botanical Gardens

Butterflies
Butterflies

Some people from our homeschool group, CHET-SE, went on a field trip to the botanical gardens. My dad, Moriah, and I explored the garden on our own until 1:15, then we joined half of our group in the butterfly exhibit. The butterfly exhibit went on only during the cooler months. We went right before it closed for the year, so most of the butterflies were wearing out. Most of them had damaged wings, but they could still fly.

It was really fun to see plants that I have in my own garden, like peas, broccoli and strawberries. I also enjoyed seeing, smelling, and touching plants. It’s amazing how different plants can look, smell and feel!
