Countdown to a billion
In addition to the iPod nano announcement, Apple is also counting down (up?) to selling the 1 billionth song from the iTunes Music Store.
As they have done for similar milestones in the past, they are giving away iPods and songs for the purchaser of each 100,000th song (a black 4GB iPod nano and a $100 iTunes Music Card). The grand prize, for downloading the billionth song, is a 20-inch iMac, 10 60GB iPods, and a $10,000 iTunes Music Card, plus Apple will create a full-ride scholarship, in the winner’s name, to a world-renowned music school! How cool is that?
So, I received an iTunes gift card for Christmas. I guess it’s time to start downloading some songs…
