100!
I did my “final” challenge today and did 100!
On the one hundred push ups web site, Steve encourages:
“If you start to feel shaky, take a few deep breaths and regain your composure before starting again.”
I managed my first 80 without pausing, and then paused again for another breath at about 93. I will continue to do week 6, and look for better form throughout as well as try to accomplish 100 without pausing. And this will be my last post on the subject for awhile…

Congrats! I’ve been following the progress of your workouts. Very nice!
Over the years of reading your various websites, I’ve forgotten, may I ask your age? I’m pushing forty, which isn’t all that old, but I admire folks who are in their middle years who are still taking an active role in their physical health. For example, my dear friend Tom, who is nearly 60, can bench-press over four-hundred lbs (I was there to spot him, so I know it’s legit). My other friend John, who is in his early 60s, is in amazing shape and bikes nearly 50 miles a day. These men (and women) keep me in the gym!
Keep up the good work.
(interesting aside… your content filter wouldn’t let me post this because I used the numeral version of forty, and four-hundred)

Thanks Chris.
I turned 41 in April and hope to be like your friends Tom and John, still working out and cycling into my 60s and beyond.
Thanks for pointing out the problem with the number 40 - there was an errant entry in my blacklist that has been removed now…

Congratulations - I’m just starting Week 2 with an initial test of 27. It’s nice to see someone achieving what the site says. It gives others the incentive to keep trying
