She lays her hands to the spindle,
and her hands hold the distaff.

She opens her hand to the poor, yes,
she reaches out her filled hands to the needy

Reach Out

About Reach Out!

Reach Out was just a dream in December 2005. Jordan (13 at the time) just thought it was another of her “crazy ideas” and would never work, but God had other plans. He knew that He wanted this club to work for His glory.

On January 23, 2006, the first meeting for Reach Out was held at our official clubhouse (the craft room of a friend). Seven girls and 4 women worked on making quilts to send to an orphanage in Nigeria. It went so well that they decided to meet again a week later January 30… and again on February 9… and again on February 16! After four meetings Reach Out had seven blankets ready to send to the orphans.

Since then we have sent blankets, pillows and baby clothes to expecting mothers in Uganda, donated 71 items to a local women's shelter and sent 134 crocheted and knit items to Russia, including hats, scarves, socks and blankets.
