The travel agent had managed to cancel my entire itinerary, leaving me less than pleased. United, however, was able to rebook me, although they were going to send me through Denver, which would have gotten me to San Francisco 2 hours later. The ticket agent at the gate was able to get me on the last seat on my original flight on standby. She literally handed me my ticket as the door was closing.
